clean rooms but limited dining options
The room I stayed in was clean, showcasing a commitment to maintenance. Two staff members were really nice, assisting with transportation during an unexpected taxi protest. The sea view was amazing.
The limited dining options were a bit disappointing, especially during my short stay.

Perfect hotel with ocean views to a sea view and genuinely helpful and very very helpful staff. Comfortable bed in the villa, plus a microwave oven, a fridge and tea/coffee making equipment. The continental breakfast with amazing food, small restaurant. Lovely overall experience.

A Perfect Escape for Families!
The spacious Standard Suite provided us with comfort, and the staff's friendly service. Don't miss the nearby snorkeling at Yal-ku Lagoon and make sure to bring water shoes. Perfect for relaxation!

The rooms are very nice, although there is only one air conditioner for the whole apartment, but you can turn it off and use only the fan because they are very cool.
The apartment is in the back, had no terrace or view and is on a floor below street level. The restaurant is not a restaurant, they have it to rent as a hotel but actually the breakfast included was bad, the orange juice tasted half rotten, the fruit was not well ripe and there was the same sweet bread for three days that from the second day already had ants. For dinner, one day we couldn't go out because there were no taxis, we asked for fish and were told that it was frozen, that they didn't have fresh fish. In the pool there are only 7 lounge chairs and two tables with 4 chairs each. We couldn't believe it, there are more than thirty apartments and only 7 lounge chairs! and on the beach there were only 8 others. We were lucky that there were not many people because we went from Sunday to Wednesday and we were able to take pallets. For drinks they put a palapita, worse as there were not many people flat on Tuesday nor put it.

The units where huge with 2 beds. The location is great and stunning, as the hotel is based to akumal bay.

We stayed in a Two-Bedroom Villa with Ocean View, and it was spacious and beautifully decorated. The view of the beach was very nice! The room felt secluded. The bed was super comfy, and there were plenty of towels. Our only downside was limited outdoor seating, but the beach was just steps away!

Spacious rooms with beautiful views.
The kitchen utensils were severely lacking. We couldn't find basic items like a spatula or a baking pan. The air conditioning was hard to control and often circulated unpleasant smells from neighboring units. This, especially since we had planned to prepare meals ourselves.

Very good the villas, wide spaces very good quality in all the elements that we occupy . Call yourself kitchen, bedrooms, living room, balcony, all the remarkable elements. for its quality.
The rooms on the 1st floor suffer from constant noise from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm, because above them the restaurant, the kitchen, the laundry room and other service facilities are in operation, and because of their work, they make constant noises that prevent you from resting during those hours. The upper Villas are not suitable for people with disabilities, the stairs are for athletes. The Villas do not have their own beach, I mean access to the sea for swimming, etc. To understand the problem as a whole, you have to know that the whole Rivera Maya, suffers from an invasion of Sargasso (a type of algae, which comes floating to the beaches, carried by the currents) as far as possible guests are concerned, is that you depend on your Hotel, Condo, etc, so that you can access the sea in a decent way ( Many are in charge of cleaning constantly, the beach and access to the sea), The Akumal Villas DO NOT DO ABSOLUTELY NA DA THAT, you are at the mercy of the goddess of nature.

The ocean view from our villa was lovely! So beautiful 🌊 The pool was always clean and fantastic for the kids. Just a bit disappointed with the limited dining options nearby.
